Car Insurance for Teens
As a high school student turns 16, you can't stop
them from begging you to let them drive. It's an
obsession. It makes them feel like an adult when
they're already permitted to drive. As a parent you
can't do anything about it and give them your
consent. As long as they drive safely, it is their
right to be able to drive.
Unfortunately, car insurance companies are not very
friendly towards young drivers - it's not easy
getting
car insurance for young people (read this
article about
car insurance for young people too!). It is
because the accidents with young drivers are really
high and car insurance companies end up losing money
paying off the damages caused by these eager teenage
drivers. Because of this, car insurance companies
have no choice but to increase their premiums. Let's
face it. Teenage drivers are not the favorite
clients by car insurance companies. Still, there are
ways for these teenage drivers to get a little lower
rate. First, unfortunately the newer the car the
higher the premiums would be. It is best to give
your teenage kid an older and slower car so you
don't end up paying more for its insurance. Second,
a car insurance company would check on the driving
history. First time drivers can't use this tip but
for a more mature teenage driver, they could show
their excellent driving history to the insurance
company and hope to have their premiums reduced.
Third, if you are a good student then you will get a
good discount. Maintain good grades and your parents
will pay less for your car insurance policy.
To make a long story short though - finding cheap car insurance for teens is not going to happen. NOT EVER. :D
